Seaworld

SeaWorld Florida

Today we visited Seaworld florida, thou we have been before this is our first trip in a few years.  Traveling to Seaworld is fairly straight forward as detailed at the end of this blog.  On arrival to SeaWorld you have to first pay for parking which for us was $12 which is always disappointing after paying for the park tickets.  Running on a budget we decided to take a pack lunch only to discover security do not allow you to take your own food into the park!!!

Manta at SeaWorld Florida

This is the first time we have been on this ride, whilst very similar to ‘Air’ at Alton Towers, its much better!!.  The first loop you come down on your back and you can feel the G’s.  Its a great ride and worth the queue.  We hit this ride first and had to wait about 20 minutes.

Kracken at SeaWorld Florida

This is a full on adrenaline ride with 7 loops & twists its got to be one of the longest roller coasters I have been on.  We had a storm in the afternoon which meant the ride closed for a short while.  During this time some of the guests appeared to leave the park and on reopening the queues were really short, which meant we got several goes very quickly. In my opinion this is the best ride at Seaworld florida.

Atlantis at SeaWorld Florida

This ride is situated near Kracken and unfortunately was out of order for much of the time due to technical difficulties.  However we did get to ride it once and its a great ride for the hot weather.  With 2 drops your just about guaranteed to get wet.  In addition the public can pay a few quarters to squirt you from the edge of the ride with water guns :-)

Getting to Seaworld Florida from our Villa

On leaving crescent lakes you head North on Ponciana Boulevard crossing the Orange Blossom Trail and the 192.  Shortly after crossing the 192 you turn left on to the 535.  Follow this for around 3 miles then take the I4 towards Orlando, watch out for the 90° bend when coming off the slip road.

Follow the I4 for 5 miles taking junction 71 where Seaworld florida is clearly signposted from.
